based, the original hard driving bluegrass band Kathy Boyd & Phoenix Rising
will appear at the Mt. Angel Performing Arts Center on Saturday, February
2nd beginning at 7:30 PM.

Kathy Boyd, a well known northwest stage personality, plays
the bass and is also the band's manager. Tim Crosby will play anything he
puts his hands on with ease and professionalism, described as "Master of the
musical metaphor". Tom Tower plays banjo and Dobro with a folk influence.
Dennis Nelson's role is high tenor guitar picking fly boy, personifying
bluegrass in it's truest sense.
These singer/songwriters are all seasoned professional
entertainers who's live shows are quickly becoming legendary.
Kathy Boyd & Phoenix Rising are currently enjoying the
success of their latest CD "Burning Down the House", which is receiving
airplay not only across America but in places such as Belgium, France and
Canada.
They recently appeared on the internationally syndicated
radio show "Back Porch Music" where they were interviewed and performed two
songs acoustically.
This band's 'old-timey' sound has a unique attraction,
